1 Hotels, the eco-luxury chain launched last year by Starwood
Capital Group, will open a hotel in Brooklyn, in February.
1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is located in Brooklyn Heights, just
south of the Brooklyn Bridge. The new hotel will offer guests panoramic views
of the Statue of Liberty, East River and Manhattan skyline.
The property will have 194 rooms, including 29 suites that
range from two to six bedrooms. Other amenities include a 4,000-square-foot
rooftop pool area with firepits, a 50-seat screening room, a 10th-floor private
lounge, a spa with nine treatment rooms and 20,000 square feet of meeting
space.
Among eco-friendly touches is the use of reclaimed wood from
the old Domino Sugar refinery in Brooklyn.
1 Hotels has opened properties in Miami Beach and Manhattan.
