Auberge Collection is making its foray into Africa with its debut of Auberge Safari, a new portfolio with nine camps and lodges across northern Tanzania.

The move brings two existing East African safari operators -- Legendary Expeditions and Chem Chem Safari -- together under the Auberge umbrella. Their properties span several Tanzanian wilderness areas, including the Serengeti National Park, the Greater Mwiba Protected Wildlife Area and the Burunge Wildlife Management Area.

The nine properties featured within Auberge Safari are the Mwiba Lodge, Mwiba Plains, Mila, Nyasi, Songa, Legendary Lodge, Chem Chem Lodge, Little Chem Chem and Forest Chem Chem. Their offerings include experiences like Great Migration game drives, river crossings, walking safaris, bush dinners, cultural interactions with local communities and exclusive-use booking options.

According to Auberge, stays at Auberge Safari properties will help support two conservation organizations: the Friedkin Conservation Fund, which is focused on the Greater Mwiba Protected Wildlife Area, and the Chem Chem Association, which works to protect the Burunge Wildlife Management Area. Both groups also work with local communities to foster sustainable livelihoods.

Auberge Collection currently has 39 properties globally. Both Auberge Collection and Legendary Expeditions are part of the Friedkin portfolio of companies.
