The former Pink Sands Club on Canouan is officially a
Mandarin Oriental-branded resort.
Mandarin Oriental assumed management of the resort in
October 2017, but the name change did not happen until July 1. It is
Mandarin Oriental's first Caribbean resort.
The 26-suite, seven-villa luxury resort opened as the Pink Sands
Club in October 2016.
Canouan (CAN-ah-wan), a small island measuring 3.5 miles
long by 1.25 miles wide in the Grenadines archipelago, lies 25 miles south of
St. Vincent.
Rates in a one-bedroom oceanview suite start at $1,300 per
night, double. Several packages are offered, including a bed-and-breakfast
option from $1,350 per night with butler service and daily breakfast and a
five-night Sunsational Savings program from $1,950 per night with a 50%
discount on the second suite.
Most visitors connect through Barbados, Grenada or St. Lucia
with air transfers on Grenadine Air Alliance.
Mandarin will operate the 100-room Mandarin Oriental Grand
Cayman, scheduled to open in 2021.
