Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group
is offering a discount (up to 10% off the lowest available rate) for members of its loyalty program who book direct online and via traditional travel agents.
Carlson Rezidor joins several
hotel companies that have done likewise, including Marriott International,
Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt Hotels and InterContinental Hotels Group. By offering the lowest
rates on their websites, the hotel companies aim to take market share from the
OTAs, their most expensive distribution channel.
Carlson Rezidor said
discounts will be available at about 1,000 of its 1,400 hotels. The companies’ major
brands are Radisson, Radisson Blu, Park Plaza, Park Inn and Country Inns and
Suites.
