The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will return from March 4 to April 26 this year.
The event highlights California cuisine with food and beverages available for purchase, culinary destinations and tasting seminars.
Disney California Adventure will play host to 12 Festival Marketplaces serving small plates and beverages. More permanent dining locations in the park will serve fare inspired by the festival.
Guests can buy a Sip and Savor Pass with tabs redeemable for select food and nonalcoholic beverages.
The festival will feature a number of special programs and entertainment. For children ages 3-11, "Alice's Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party" in the Hollywood Backlot in Hollywood Land will enable them to decorate cupcakes. Minnie Mouse will attend to admire their work. Sign-ups will begin 45 minutes before each show.
The Hollywood Backlot Stage will play host to culinary demonstrations on weekends, featuring Disneyland and visiting chefs.
At the Paradise Beer Garden on Fridays through Sundays, guests can chat with visiting breweries.
There are two signature events this year, focused on wine-beer-cocktails and rare wines. They come at an extra cost and can be booked online in advance.
In conjunction with the festival, Soarin' Over California will return to the park's Soarin' attraction. Soarin' originally opened in 2001, inviting guests to virtually ride a hang glider, flying over various places in the Golden State.
In 2016, Soarin' in Disneyland and at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida turned into Soarin' Around the World, featuring, as the name suggests, scenery from around the globe. Disneyland has occasionally brought back Soarin' Over California for limited runs in recent years.
