Following a soft opening this week, the 401-room Fairmont
Mayakoba on Mexico’s Riviera Maya will reopen to guests on June 15.
The reopening will include Italian restaurant El Puerto, Ki’
Beach Bar, HIX Lobby Bar and the Willow Stream Spa. Room service will be
available.
Fairmont and other Accor-owned brands are following Accor’s
All Stay Well
protocols for hotels in North and Central America. At the Fairmont Mayakoba,
new safety standards include health screenings for staff and guests, a 48-hour “settling
period” for rooms after guests’ departure and more frequent cleaning and
disinfecting.
The AAA Five Diamond
property closed on April 8.
