Mexico's Grupo Posadas has launched Devossion by Live Aqua, an adults-only lifestyle brand for all-inclusive resorts. With Devossion, Grupo Posadas is targeting "socially driven" travelers.
The brand made its debut with a conversion of the former Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen. The resort soft-opened as the Devossion by Live Aqua on Aug. 1. The resort's grand opening is planned for October 2025.
The beachfront resort has 314 rooms, including 36 suites, plus multiple pools, private beach access, a cenote-inspired spa and a fitness center.
Dining options include The Grill at 126, the Paseo Azul coffee bar, a sushi and raw seafood venue, and the oceanfront La Cocina, featuring Mexican and other cuisines.
As part of the brand's social focus, the property will offer interactive experiences like daily champagne toasts, audience-involved comedy shows, mixology classes, competitive guacamole-making events and various culinary demonstrations. Guests will find "boozy popsicle carts" on the premises.
Grupo Posadas describes Devossion by Live Aqua as a fit for "couples
seeking romantic connection, friends celebrating milestones or solo travelers
looking to join a vibrant community."
Grand opening rates start at $400 per person, per night.
In addition to the new Devossion offshoot, Posadas' brand portfolio includes Live Aqua, Grand Fiesta Americana, Curamoria Collection, Fiesta Americana, Funeeq by Fiesta Americana, The Explorean, Fiesta Inn, Gamma and One.
