Hard Rock International will add a Malaysia hotel next year, as the music-themed hotel will be part of the Desaru Coast resort district the Malaysian government is funding in the southeastern part of the country.

The 365-room Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast is scheduled to open in fall 2017.

The hotel’s rooms will overlook the Desaru Coast Adventure Water Park as well as the district’s waterfront shopping district. Guests will also be able to check out Fender guitars for in-room jam sessions.

Desaru Coast will include golf courses designed by Ernie Els and Vijay Singh.

Hard Rock has about two dozen hotels globally. In addition to Malaysia, the company is expanding its Asia presence with planned hotels in Shenzhen and Haikou, China.
