Hyatt has big plans for virtual concierge

Hyatt Hotels Corp. during the next two years plans to install virtual concierge technology in 60,000 full-service guest rooms across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.

Supplied by Roomlinx, the system provides a television interface through which guests can print documents and presentations, obtain information on group functions, order room service and amenities and search the Internet.

Hyatt has already installed the technology in a few locations, including its Andaz property in New York and Hyatt Regency properties in New Orleans and Denver.
