IHG Hotels & Resorts is promising guests a more seamless WiFi experience with the launch of its IHG WiFi Auto Connect mobile feature.
Making its debut as part of the IHG One Rewards mobile app, the tool gives IHG One Rewards members the ability to log in automatically and connect to WiFi at more than 5,000 IHG hotels worldwide without a login code or password.
In order to opt in to Auto Connect, members must complete a one-time setup, enabling auto connection via their mobile device's settings. Once the process is complete, the mobile device will instantly join a hotel's internet upon entering a property.
According to IHG, the company does more than 5.3 million WiFi logins per month globally.
