The InterContinental Hong Kong will close during the first
quarter of 2019 for an extensive renovation.
All of the luxury hotel's 503 rooms as well as its public
areas, restaurants and facade will be renovated, though the Yan Toh Heen restaurant
will stay open during the work. The renovation is slated to last about 16
months.
The InterContinental Hong Kong opened in 1980 as the Regent
Hong Kong and became the InterContinental in 2001.
The brand also operates the InterContinental Grand Stanford
Hong Kong.
