Joe Margison, who has been serving as the interim CEO of the Virgin Hotels Collection, was permanently named to the role.
Virgin Hotels Collection is the parent company of Virgin Group's lifestyle hotel brand, Virgin Hotels, and the luxury retreat collection Virgin Limited Edition.

He had been serving as interim CEO since October, following the departure of former chief James Bermingham.
Margison has been with Virgin Group since 2015, most recently serving as chief commercial officer. Before his time with Virgin, he worked at the New Zealand Superannuation Fund focusing on private equity, credit and real estate investments, and had a stint at Ernst & Young as a chartered accountant.
Margison will be charged with leading Virgin Hotels Collection through what he called "its next chapter of growth." The group's Virgin Hotels and Virgin Limited Edition brands collectively comprise 16 properties across the U.S., Caribbean, Africa and Europe.
Among the group's upcoming additions are the Virgin Hotels Atlanta at Centennial Yards, and a Virgin Limited Edition property in Marrakech. Both are on track to debut in 2027.
