Italy's Lario Hotels is expanding beyond its home base of Lake Como for the first time, planting a new flag in Verona.

The luxury hospitality group's Vista Palazzo Verona, located within the city's medieval Centro Storico area, is on track to open this May. Housed within a 19th-century mansion, the boutique hotel will comprise 13 suites and three rooms, with soaking tubs in the bathrooms of all accommodations.

The property's amenities will include an indoor swimming pool, a library, a wine tasting room, a gym, a penthouse-level restaurant and bar, and a rooftop terrace. The hotel will also offer a spa, featuring a 538-square-foot spa suite designed for private wellness experiences.

In addition to the new Vista Palazzo Verona, Lario Hotels' portfolio includes Lake Como's Vista Palazzo Lago di Como, Terminus, Villa Fiori and Posta Design.
