LAS VEGAS -- Mandarin
Oriental said it will manage a 400-room luxury hotel that will be
part of the massive entertainment venue now under development here
called Project CityCenter.
The 66-acre,
multi-billion dollar complex is being created by MGM Mirage and is
slated to open in phases starting in 2009.
Plans for the 37-story Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas call for it to be
built on a 1.5-acre site encompassing 310 guest rooms and 90
suites. The hotel will also have three
presidential suites measuring more than 3,500 square feet each, and
seven dining and cocktail venues, including two signature
restaurants.
Mandarin Oriental
said multiple glass-enclosed sky bridges will connect the hotel
with the rest of the Project CityCenter. The hotel will have a Sky
Lobby on 10th floor providing a dramatic panorama of Las Vegas and
beyond.
