Earlier this month, celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa opened his first San Francisco Bay Area restaurant at Palo Alto's Epiphany Hotel. By October, his company plans to take over the entire hotel.
Nobu Hospitality, which also includes actor-investor Robert De Niro, will reflag the 83-room property as Nobu Hotel Epiphany.
The hotel, which currently operates within Two Roads Hospitality's Joie de Vivre boutique-hotel group, will offer a 24-hour in-room dining menu; many of its rooms afford views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The hotel was redeveloped from a former residential building and debuted as a hotel in 2014.
While Matsuhisa opened his first U.S. restaurant in Beverly Hills in 1987, his hotel company, which also includes properties in Las Vegas and Singapore, made its West Coast debut in April with the opening of the Nobu Ryokan in Malibu.
