|

Luxury hotel operator the Oetker Collection has debuted operations in South America with last week's opening of the Palacio Tangara in Sao Paulo.

The hotel, which overlooks the city's Burle Marx Park, has 141 rooms, including 59 suites. Amenities include a spa with six treatment rooms; a kids' club with a "mini cinema;" and Tangara Jean-George, a restaurant helmed by celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

The hotel's lobby features both local artwork and greenery from Burle Marx Park, which is known for containing plant species from the Atlantic rainforest.

The Oetker Collection operates eight other hotels including the French Riviera's Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and Le Bristol Paris.
