Outrigger opens resort in Guam

HONOLULU -- Outrigger opened the 600-room Outrigger Guam Resort.

The 23-story beachfront property, at the center of Guam's Tumon Bay resort area, includes meeting facilities, business and fitness centers, a pool, restaurants and the Plaza shopping center.

It also features a Hard Rock Cafe and a wedding chapel.

A Mandara Spa will open Sept. 1.

Rates range from $240 for an oceanview room to $290 for an oceanfront studio, with one-bedroom suites priced from $500 to $700.

Rates for Outrigger's Voyagers Club rooms, with extra services, range from $295 to $735.

An introductory special of $160 per night for an oceanview room, normally costing $240, is available through

Sept. 15.
