The Pink Sands Club will open Oct. 10 on the island of Canouan (Ka-No-Wan) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the southeastern Caribbean.
The 26-suite, six-villa resort, a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is one of three properties on the three-square-mile island whose name means "island of tortoises."
Amenities at Pink Sands include touch-screen tablet devices that manage guest experiences from setting room temperatures to reviewing resort services. A television, embedded in a mirrored sliding door opposite the bed, moves aside at the touch of a button to reveal the lagoon beyond.
Each suite is assigned a golf cart to navigate the expansive grounds and rolling landscape.
Facilities include The Spa with nine hillside and two overwater treatment suites, accessible by boat, an infinity pool with a three-tiered deck; an 18-hole golf course; four on-site restaurants with access to an additional five on the island; a tennis center; and complimentary kids and teen clubs for three to 18-year-olds.
The two other properties that are part of the collection include the Canouan Estate (formerly the Canouan Resort), which sits adjacent to Pink Sands and is a stand-alone luxury villa collection whose guests have access to services at Pink Sands and the Tamarind Beach Hotel, a boutique property next to the village at Grand Bay.
Rates at Pink Sands range from $1,400 per night, double, in a one-bedroom suite to $20,000 per night in a four-bedroom villa.
All bookings for a four- or seven-night stay include a complimentary one-way or roundtrip transfer from Barbados, St. Lucia or Grenada on Grenadine Airways, depending on booking.
The Canouan Jet Port with a newly expanded runway can land any private jet up to a 737 or Airbus 319.
