Kor Group aims to open a hotel
under its Proper lifestyle brand in Santa Monica, Calif., in late 2018.
The 271-room Santa
Monica Proper will be developed out of a 1928-built structure and an adjacent
seven-story new building on Wilshire Boulevard, about a half-mile from the
coast.
The first Proper hotel was slated
to open in San Francisco by the end of last year, though that property hasn’t
opened yet. Other Proper hotels are slated for downtown Los Angeles and
Austin, Texas.
