Hilton, W and Disney Cruise Line were among the travel
brands that jumped to the top of Harris Poll’s annual EquiTrend Study for this
year.
Hilton leapfrogged Marriott and Hyatt among full-service
hotel operators, while W Hotels overtook Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton in the
luxury hotel category.
Among cruise lines, Disney overtook Royal Caribbean
International, Norwegian and Holland America. And Expedia leapfrogged Hotels.com
among OTAs.
Among airlines, Delta and
Southwest repeated as the most widely recognized full-service and value airline
brands in the Harris poll, respectively.
This year marked the 28th annual brand-equity survey, which
measures three factors: familiarity, quality and purchase consideration. Harris
polled more than 97,000 American customers.
