MIAMI -- Sesame Street's Elmo, Zoe, Cookie Monster and Grover will appear daily at Beaches Resorts' four Caribbean properties this fall as part of a year-long agreement in which Beaches becomes the first resort company to underwrite the legendary Sesame Street children's program, effective with the show's 35th anniversary April 4.

Specially priced family packages and theme weeks next fall will feature character breakfasts, story time, live shows and Sesame Street welcome gifts.

Beaches Resorts also will be the show's on-air sponsor for a year, featuring kid-friendly, family-vacation, 15-second billboard-type ads before and after each TV show, "a real departure for us in terms of the type of advertising message delivered," a spokesman said.

Target market is the five-and-under age group and their parents "who grew up on Sesame Street and now they have their own kids," the spokesman said.

Gordon "Butch" Stewart, Beaches chairman, said the Sesame Street partnership reflects the resort chain's commitment to providing families with the best."
