The TWA Hotel at New York's Kennedy Airport is building on its existing partnership with Gerber Group, tapping the bar and restaurant operator to oversee its Pool Bar and Observation Deck.

Set to open when the hotel opens on May 15, the rooftop venue will feature an infinity-edge pool and a 10,000-square-foot deck area, both overlooking Kennedy Airport's Runway 4 Left/22 Right. The runway is among one of the airport's biggest and busiest, and guests will be able to watch jets from more than 70 carriers take off and land.

The observation deck will also offer a view of the Bay Runway, or Runway 13 Right/31 Left, billed as the second-longest commercial runway in North America.

The rooftop's 63-by-20-foot pool draws its design inspiration from the infinity pool at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d'Antibes, France. It will feature a TWA logo mosaic in the hotel's signature gold and red colors. The pool will be open year-round and heated up to 100 degrees during the winter.

A full rooftop kitchen will serve food and a selection of signature cocktails -- including the Mile High Spritz (vodka, elderflower liqueur, lime juice and prosecco) and the Watermelon Collins (gin, watermelon and lemon juices, agave and club soda).

The TWA Hotel announced in February that Gerber Group would manage the Sunken Lounge, the property's flagship bar. In total, the TWA Hotel will have six restaurants and eight bars.
