Hilton Worldwide has opened two New York hotels: Brooklyn’s
first Hilton and The Renwick, a member of Hilton's Curio collection.
The 196-room Hilton Brooklyn New York is located in the
borough’s Boerum Hill neighborhood. The property integrates a design motif that
pays homage to the site's former use as the Schermerhorn Rope Factory and
includes a restaurant headed by Brooklyn-based chef Rob Newton.
Curio’s first New York hotel is the 173-room Renwick Hotel
NYC, located on East 40th Street, about two blocks from Grand Central Station.
Converted from a 1920s building that once was home to writers John Steinbeck
and Thomas Mann, the Renwick was named for St. Patrick’s Cathedral architect
James Renwick Jr.
