The Woodlands Resort has joined Hilton's Curio Collection and is embarking on an extensive revamp.

The 402-key property located in The Woodlands, a master-planned community north of Houston, is the first Curio Collection hotel in Texas.

A multimillion-dollar renovation is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2022. Guestrooms, the spa and the fitness facility will be remodeled.

A new lobby bar will offer views of Lake Harrison and serve grab-and-go food items. The Forest Deck, also overlooking the lake, is being updated as an outdoor venue for events.

There are also plans for enhanced health and wellness, food and beverage, and outdoor events programming.

The Woodlands has 75,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space, two golf courses, the Forest Oasis Lazy River & Waterpark, a tennis center with 21 courts and the Back Table Kitchen & Bar.

A joint venture between Los Angeles-based Lowe and an institutional investor owns The Woodlands Resort, having acquired the property last September from Howard Hughes Corp., developer of The Woodlands community.
