A new theatrical production based on animated classic "The Little Mermaid" is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort's Hollywood Studios next year.
"The Little Mermaid -- A Musical Adventure" will start its run in the Animation Courtyard theater in the fall. The theater itself will be updated and construction is underway.
The show will feature musical numbers like "Part of Your World," "Kiss the Girl" and "Poor Unfortunate Souls" inspired by the 1989 film.
"When it opens, the show will feature stunning new set pieces, cutting-edge effects, and a bold new design that captures Ariel's imagination and emotions through her unique view of the world around her," according to a post on the Disney Parks Blog.
The Animation Courtyard section of Hollywood Studios previously played host to stage show "Voyage of the Little Mermaid," but the show never reopened after the park's pandemic shutdown in 2020.
