Travel Weekly names Christina Jelski hotels editor

Christina Jelski, a veteran of more than eight years in business publishing, has been named Travel Weekly's senior editor responsible for covering the global hospitality industry, including Airbnb and other alternative lodging. 

"We're excited to introduce Christina to the community of travel industry professionals," said editor in chief Arnie Weissmann. "Her experience, professionalism and insights will greatly benefit our readers and the hospitality industry at large."

Jelski most recently was a senior editor with M. Shanken Communications, where she reported and wrote for Impact and Shanken News Daily, two publications covering the global alcohol industry. 

She lives in New York and will be based in the Secaucus, N.J., headquarters of Northstar Travel Group, the home of Travel Weekly's newsroom.

Jelski holds a bachelor's degree in English from Indiana University.
