United Nations hotel is now a Hilton

Hilton has taken over management of the One UN New York, a hotel on the upper floors of two towers adjacent to the United Nations headquarters.

The 41-year-old hotel has been renamed the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza.

The 439-room hotel, owned by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, has received $68 million in renovations since 2012.

The hotel opened in 1976 as a Hyatt. Millennium & Copthorne Hotels bought the hotel in 2000, and it became the Millennium UN Plaza. It was renamed the One UN New York in 2013.
