Sabre and Expedia Inc. have renewed a multiyear technology agreement that provides Expedia with a range of services, including Sabre’s online fare search and access to global content from travel suppliers.

The companies first established their relationship in 2005 in North America, and have since extended it to points of sale in the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America.

Greg Schulze, Expedia's senior vice president of global tour and transport, said Sabre is Expedia’s primary GDS in North America and has “played an important role in helping us grow our scale around the world.”

Expedia Inc. offers fare search and reservation capabilities in more than 25 countries through a number of travel brands that include Expedia, Egencia and Hotwire.

In April, Expedia and Amadeus inked a multiyear content and technology agreement for North America, including content distribution, fare searching, Web services and the Amadeus Selling Platform agent desktop.

Expedia has been using the Amadeus GDS in more than 15 countries as part of an agreement signed in 2005.

Expedia also has a relationship with Travelport in North America.
