TripAdvisor has introduced an instant booking feature for its mobile app and mobile website on smartphone, enabling users to book a hotel without leaving the TripAdvisor site.
Instant booking is available in the U.S., with other markets to follow, and TripAdvisor’s launch partners are Choice Hotels, Getaroom.com and Tingo.
Last month, TripAdvisor said it signed up Choice Hotels as its first hotel partner for direct bookings, and that the functionality was being tested.
TripAdvisor said it expects to add partners later this year.
