G Adventures has rebranded its Yolo line of tours to "18-to-Thirtysomethings" to better reflect the target audience.

The Yolo tours were quietly added to G's portfolio in 2012, and its growth has outpaced the company's eight other travel styles: Active, Family, Local Living, Marine, Rail, Classic, National Geographic Journeys and Private Groups.

G Adventures owner and founder Bruce Poon Tip, said the new name makes it "instantly clear who we are speaking to."

G Adventures said the demographic spends an average of $1,810 on trips that last an average of 14 days, or about $130 per day. They predominantly book their travel directly, either online or by phone, and the top destination they book is Thailand, followed by New Zealand, Costa Rica and Australia.

The majority of the 185 18-to-Thirtysomethings tours are priced under $2,000, not including air. They are designed to be "fun-filled" and "fast-paced," G Adventures said, incorporating more camping, hostel or basic-service hotels than the company's other tours.

There are party nights incorporated into the itineraries, along with cultural experiences. They are hosted by tour guides, or "chief experience officers," as G calls them.
