Pleasant Holidays has begun accepting bookings for next year's Victory Cruise Lines return to the Great Lakes, and is offering special terms through Dec. 4.
The tour operator did steady business on the two ships that comprise the Victory Cruise Line fleet when they were a part of American Queen Voyages. After American Queen Voyages folded earlier this year, John Waggoner, a former CEO of the river cruise operator, bought the two Victory ships at auction.
Victory plans to restart the two ships next April on itineraries that visit the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Canadian Maritimes.
The twin Victory ships, built in 2001, each carry 190 passengers and were designed for coastal cruising by American Classic Voyages. Since that company's bankruptcy after the 9/11 attacks, the ships have had a variety of owners.
Under American Queen they were called Ocean Voyager and Ocean Navigator. Victory is a revival of a name used by a prior owner.
Pleasant Holidays said its introductory deal includes savings of up to $1,000 per person on any voyage, plus a bonus discount of $100 per person on Great Lakes sailings.
The tour operator will also provide an onboard credit up to $150 per stateroom (based on double occupancy) for Victory Cruise Lines sailings booked by Dec. 31, 2025.
