LOS ANGELES -- The
moon will totally block the sun over Libya next year a for four
minutes and seven seconds March 29, and Sita World Travel will be
there.
Sitas Total Eclipse
Over Libya expedition will take place March 25 to April 1 under the
guidance of Dr. Jay White, an astronomy professor at Rhodes
University in Memphis, Tenn., and editor of Mercury, the magazine
of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.
The itinerary will
include visits to the walled city of Medina in Tripoli, the
Mediterranean coastal city of Sabratha and the ruins of the Roman
city Leptis Magna.
Sita plans to have
White lead other eclipse tours: the Inca Trail to the Stars in
Peru, and Pyramids, Sand, and Nile: Following the Egyptian Path
from Earth to Heaven. Dates have not been announced.
