Dallas-based Rudi Steele Travel is under new ownership, with longtime associates Josh Whitaker and Arlene Thompson-Brantley acquiring the luxury travel agency from founder Rudi Steele for an undisclosed sum.

Whitaker and Thompson-Brantley each have been advisors with Rudi Steele Travel for more than two decades. According to a spokesperson for the company, Steele will remain with the company, "staying on to personally handle some select customers."

In a statement, the agency said that the new ownership team plans to continue providing "the personalized attention to detail in customizing and executing travel experiences for clients" that has made Rudi Steele Travel "the gold standard of luxury travel."
Established by Steele in 1978, Rudi Steele Travel specializes in tailor-made experiences in active and adventure travel, beach destinations, wellness travel, Africa safari excursions, ocean and river cruises, escorted tours, food and wine tours, and multigenerational travel.
