Agency software platform TripSuite has raised $5 million in seed funding and has plans to improve its AI features.
TripSuite is a full customer relationship management system, including commission tracking and accounting. Collectively, the agencies using the platform book more than $1 billion in travel a year. TripSuite employs AI and estimates the software saves users 20 or more hours a week on back-office activities.
The seed funding was led by F-Prime Capital. Also participating were Bienville Capital Management and Thayer Ventures.
TripSuite co-founder and CEO Jacey Jones identified three main areas in which the company will apply the funding: AI, further streamlining operations and integrations.
"We have three AI-powered features, and they've been hugely successful," Jones said. "We're now revisiting all our features to see how they can be improved with AI and designing new workflows that previously weren't possible."
Jones said the company's streamlining efforts will focus on how advisors and support staff collaborate. On integration, Jones said, the "goal is to enable seamless and secure data movement across the entire workflow."
Jones also said the platform will continue to improve its integration with QuickBooks but that it is also building a full accounting platform into TripSuite.
