Tripology ceases operations: Travel Weekly

Tripology, a lead-generating service that connected agents with consumers, shut down abruptly earlier this week.

In a “Tripology Shutdown FAQ” section, the site said that it had not grown at the pace it expected.

Agent users have until June 25 to access and download their lead history. The information will not be accessible after that date.

Lee Pettyjohn, owner and manager of Unlimited Destinations in Winterville N.C., who said she built her 7-year-old business using Tripology, said she found out about the shutdown when she tried to log on to the site on Tuesday.

“They did not notify us,” she said.

Tripology was owned by the USA Today Travel Media Group. USA Today had purchased Tripology from Rand McNally in 2013.
