Travelport has named John Elieson chief
operating officer.
John Elieson
Elieson was most recently president and CEO of Radixx
International, an airline retailing software vendor acquired by Sabre last fall.
Before his time with Radixx, Elieson spent 30 years with
Sabre and former parent company American Airlines. His roles included leader of
global sales for Sabre Airline Solutions and leader of global accounts and
traveler experience for Sabre Travel Network.
In his new role at Travelport, Elieson will oversee the
company’s growth strategy, sales organization and mergers and acquisitions. He
will be based at Travelport’s headquarters in Langley, U.K.
