AMResorts
opened Sunscape Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, the
brand’s first resort in the destination.
The
585-room resort, the former Barcelo Puerto Plata,
feature clubs for kids and teens, nine reservation-free dining options and seven
bars. It is surrounded by a Robert Trent Jones golf course.
The
Puerto Plata resort is the seventh in the Sunscape portfolio. There are three in Mexico, two in Jamaica and one in Curacao. Two additional Sunscape
properties are scheduled to open in Punta Cana in December.
