Beaches Resorts is assisting travel advisors with earning Certified Autism Travel Professional certification by offering a 50% discount for those interested in taking the online training and competency exam.
Advisors, upon successful completion of the session, receive a certification that they can promote on their websites and marketing materials. Topics in the session include sensory awareness, selling to the autism market and breakdown of autism markets. Beaches Resorts-certified advisors can start an application at ibcces.org/catp; the half-price offer is good through Dec. 31.

Beaches Resorts has an Advanced Certified Autism Center designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, awarded to organizations that complete advanced training requirements and offer accommodations for autistic and sensory-sensitive visitors. Beaches has also curated resortwide sensory guides that rate areas on a 1-to-10 scale of sensory stimulation, including pools, activity centers and waterparks.
