The Jamaica Tourist Board used its digital platform to lift spirits during social distancing with the kickoff of its Escape to Jamaica Instagram Live series with local disc jockey ZJ Sparks.
The series, which launched April 3, will air several times a week on the Visit Jamaica Instagram channel www.instagram.com/visitjamaica, features live cooking demos and wellness sessions in addition to dance vibes.
"Since visitors are unable to come to us at the moment, we want to bring the 'Heartbeat of the World' to their homes," said Donovan White, Jamaica's director of tourism. "Jamaica will be here to welcome travelers when the time is right. We want our followers to know we can only get through this together."
