Low-cost carriers Frontier and Southwest are expanding in the Caribbean region next spring with several new routes.
New Frontier routes from Newark to the Dominican Republic include a daily flight to Santo Domingo starting March 10 and daily service to Santiago starting May 28.
Daily service from Boston to San Juan starts April 23.
Chicago-San Juan daily flights begin May 15, and San Juan-Santo Domingo service launches April 23.
Southwest plans to launch two new Caribbean routes for summer, including a weekly Saturday flight from Houston Hobby airport to Nassau and a weekly flight from Nashville to San Juan, both starting June 13.
