American Cruise Lines christened its third Coastal Cat, American Liberty, last week in Newport, Rhode Island.

The 100-guest American Liberty, part of the brand's class of vessels that can sail coastal waters and inland waterways, was christened at Fort Adams State Park, where the line's small ships dock when calling in Newport.

Clare Harrington, vice commodore of the New York Yacht Club, is the ship's godmother.

The American Liberty is sailing in New England through September before moving to the Hudson River in New York.
The ship will also sail East Coast itineraries between Charleston, S.C., and Amelia Island, Fla., from November 2024 through spring 2025.

Like its sister ships, American Liberty has four decks and a catamaran bow, staterooms with balconies, several dining and lounge areas for guests, a walking track and fitness center.
