The Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como is set to open April 15, following an extensive renovation and rebranding.

Formerly the CastaDiva Resort & Spa, the lakefront property is located in Blevio, about an hour from Milan Malpensa Airport by car and close to the towns of Bellagio and Como.

Accommodations are in the 19th-century Villa Roccabruna, which features 21 rooms, 52 suites and two private, stand-alone villas.

The property was closed during the renovation led by interior designer Eric Egan. The botanical gardens surrounding the resort, which feature more than 50 different species of plant, tree and flower, were created by Italian landscape designer Patrizia Pozzi.

Dining options include CO.MO Bar & Bistrot and the contemporary fine dining restaurant L'Aria, both overseen by executive chef Vincenzo Guarino.

The resort's spa features four private suites, a salon and a fully equipped Technogym fitness center. The resort's swimming pool and floating sundeck extend onto the lake.

The Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como is offering an introductory package priced from $644 a night that includes breakfast for two, a three-course lunch or dinner at CO.MO Bar & Bistrot, daily access to the spa and 10% off all spa treatments.
