TAP Portugal unveiled a free Stopover program that enables transatlantic flyers to enjoy a short stay in Lisbon, Porto or both on their way to other TAP destinations in Europe.

Flyers can stay up to three nights in Lisbon and can add a free domestic flight to Porto for a stay in that city, as well, before heading on to their ultimate destination on the Continent.

The Stopover program is available on all flights and all routes. TAP operates daily flights from New York's JFK, Newark, Boston and Miami as well as nonstop to Porto twice weekly from Newark.

The program also includes hotel discounts, a free bottle of Portuguese wine in restaurants and such activities as rides on three-wheeled taxis called tuk-tuks, museum visits and food tastings.
