On the Big Island of Hawaii, the monthly Kokua Kailua village stroll down Alii Drive in Kona's Historic Kailua Village continue in 2024, and the year's dates have just been released.
The festivities, organized by the Kailua Village Business Improvement District, closes the road to traffic one Sunday per month from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the street becomes an outdoor marketplace that is family- and pet-friendly. There will be more than 100 vendors featuring arts, crafts and music, and there are different dining options to choose from.
2024 dates for Kokua Kailua are Jan. 21, Feb. 18, March 17, April 21, May 19, June 9, July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 8.
