Hawaii will end its Safe Travels program on March 25, which means that U.S. travelers won't have to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination or a negative Covid test to avoid quarantine.
When Hawaii implemented Safe Travels in March 2020, the quarantine period for travelers was 14 days. The state later created testing and vaccination exemptions.
Hawaii's indoor mask mandate will remain in place through March 25. Gov. David Ige said the state would evaluate whether to lift it after that date. Hawaii is last state in the U.S. with a statewide mask mandate in effect.
