Traffic was up on Hawaiian Airlines flights in April as the carrier transported 720,747 passengers during the month, an increase of 6.2% over the same 30-day period a year ago.
The airline’s load factor was essentially flat in April, dipping less than 1 percentage point year over year, to 82.1%, according to figures released by Hawaiian earlier this month.
Revenue-producing miles improved significantly, however, jumping 12.8% over April 2011’s total, to more than 882 million this year.
Year to date through April, Hawaiian transported more than 2.9 million passengers, up 6.2%, while its load factor slipped less than 1 percentage point, to 83.3%, for the first four months of 2012.
