The Mokihana hotel is set to undergo a $5 million renovation, according to the property's parent company, Castle Resorts and Hotels.

Work on the 80-room hotel on Kauai's Coconut Coast will impact both interior and exterior spaces, and the property will remain open while the construction is done.

The renovations are expected to be completed by February, and hotel restaurant the Bull Shed is slated to get a new outdoor dining area. The rooms are being refurbished following a "rustic chic" style, according to a release from the company.
