MAMo Wearable Art show hits Honolulu in November

The MAMo Wearable Art Show, combining traditional and cutting-edge styles from leading Hawaiian designers, will be held Nov. 16.

The MAMo Wearable Art Show will be held Nov. 16 in the Tapa Ballrooms at Hilton Hawaiian Village.

The MAMo (Maoli Arts Month) event showcases the works of Hawaiian designers on the cutting edge of fashion, combining traditional styles with modern techniques and touches. The event kicks off at 3 p.m. with a makeke market featuring the MAMo artists. Doors to the venue open at 5:30 p.m. and the fashion show starts at 7 p.m., with a trunk show following.

The market is free and open to the public. Tickets for the runway show start at $40 per person.
