Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas has reopened after a $23 million investment. All of the communal areas of the hotel have been made over, and there has been an addition of 44 new junior suites with private swimming pools.

There are eight new Jacuzzi suites, as well, with the best views and space, as well as a private Jacuzzi on the balcony. This brings the resort's count to 692 rooms.

The resort has also opened a new Indian restaurant, Bombay, bringing the restaurant count to six. El Medano, the steakhouse, has a new terrace, as well.

The list of bars has extended by a further three to make seven: Lounge 24 is open 24 hours a day; the patisserie and ice-cream parlor Capuchino; and the Beach club. Lastly there are two swim-up bars, which have been enlarged. A second gym has been added near the beach.
