Like most resorts across Mexico, the W Punta de Mita has implemented a multipronged approach to reopening amid the Covid-19 pandemic, elevating its safety and health standards to help guests feel more comfortable when traveling.

Some of the protocols include temperature screenings for guests, team members and vendors; sanitization offered by W Ambassadors, including for shoes, hands and luggage; acrylic partitions at high-risk, guest-facing counters; rigorous cleanings property-wide; limited guest contact; a la carte menus via QR code; and mobile check-in and room key.

What sets the W Punta de Mita apart from other resorts is that it requires a face covering for guests and associates in all indoor public spaces. In many other resorts guest face coverings are recommended, but their use is rarely enforced.
